Kay Robertson lives near Puget Sound in Washington State. Always an avid reader, semi-retired at sixty-five, she started writing poetry and joined an on-line poetry group at Writers Village University. Her work has been published/accepted for Pirene’s Fountain Japan Anthology, Soundings Review, Poetry Breakfast, Sugar Mule.

Kay Robertson
Retired from teaching,
she tends her horses,
gardens, reads voraciously,
exchanges e-mails
with lawyer daughter.
Summertime at Rachel’s house
means bunnies playing on lawn,
gold azaleas, cerise rhododendrons,
fruit trees attired in pink, white.
On sunny windowsill,
three red containers sport
spiky green cannabis.
