unprepared
ambition
swayed
straight into
adventure
i walked across
interstates, hitchhiked
down an Arizona
crossword
connection
became dissolute
over time
reading thoreau
and tolstoy
my body
became an
arrow
always pointing
north
staring in the
eyes of
black bears
and nameless
creatures, my
lungs filled
with crisp,
alaskan air
for a moment
i was king
eternal, of
green ground
and effervescent
spirit
“may god bless all”
