Joseph Hart lives in Visalia, California. Among other publications he had a 20 page blank verse poem published in Audience Magazine last year. His favorite poets are John Keats and Rupert Brooke.

"Old Men"
When men get old they want to
sit and doze,
Close their eyes and
dream and stare
As piano music plays -
Cziffra, Hyman, Gottschalk,
Wild -
Preferring virtuosos -
And if a cat lies on their chest
The
day has been worthwhile -
When sleep comes over them it will
Last
barely several minutes -
Several times a sit -
It leaves a feeling in
the soul -
Perhaps a happiness -
