Slip
Pearl pansies swing
in a basket
outside a form stone
row home
façade.
Summer air is close
with water, neighborhood voices
and
noon sun.
A white satin slip
stripped in alacrity
smirks from a
corner
in the bedroom.
Indiscretion
lays cool and hushed
on the
bed,
as the ceiling fan’s
swish mixes
sweet summer air
and the
sound of
footsteps
near the door.
